    The State Services Commission (SSC) is the Government's lead advisor on New Zealand's public management system and works to improve the performance of agencies, of sectors and of the public management system as a whole.

    As our Finance Manager you will provide inspirational leadership and development to our high performing finance team, with six direct reports. You will also ensure that SSC receives integrated financial and management accounting services and that SSC meets its obligations to external parties. This includes effective management of financial services to third parties.


    Several years experience in Business Process Analysis, Systems Analysis or Technical Business Analysis.
    Business requirements gathering for the implementation/modification/development of new solutions and system functionalities.
    Requirements analysis, documentation, and management.
    Business process modelling and business process improvement.
    Excellent communication skills to interact closely with customers at all levels and establish and maintain strong working relationships with varied groups.
    An understanding of all phases of systems testing & UAT including planning and strategy.
    This is a 3 month contract role in a progressive development environment.

    The provision of day-to-day financial advice and support to all activity managers
    Preparation of monthly financial management reports
    Cashflow forecasting and treasury management
    The provision of advice to the Chief Financial Officer on strategic issues.
    Sound interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to contribute to a team are essential along with an eye for detail and accuracy. A high level of competence in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel is expected.

    Our client is a leader in their field and are seeking a contract Management Accountant for 2-3 months to cover a busy period while they recruit the position permanently.

    Ideally we are seeking a CA Qualified Accountant who has strong manufacturing processes experience and who is capable of stepping into a role and getting up and running quickly. A strong management accounting background and excellent communication skills coupled with a good working knowledge of MS Excel are required for the role.

    CA qualified or near ( min 2 years experience in a CA firm)

    Have worked in either Tax, Audit, BAS, Insolvency divisions in a CA environment

    Systems savvy
    Strong in Accounting and Passionate about CA
