A blend of operations management and hands-on coordination, supervision, and execution of the work, as Operations Supervisor you are very much the linchpin in this growing business. 
You are committed to exceeding customer expectations and here, you’re ultimately responsible for the timely delivery of this company’s products to its customers.  This involves the efficient operation of the dispatch department, supervision of the drivers, and overseeing and coordinating the big picture of the processes and production in meeting these deliverables. 
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’re not one to sit in your Ivory Tower and have others do all the hard work for you.  Instead, you lead by example and while you have an excellent grasp of the big picture, you’re willing and able to do everything you can (even if it means loading the truck yourself) in order to meet a delivery and customer expectations.
You’re well organised, highly proactive and are used to putting your operations/ logistics expertise to use when problem solving, reviewing and improving systems and processes.  You relate well to your staff but know where to draw the line and are experienced in handling disciplinary issues.  You’re adept in operating within a high pressure, fast paced environment and you have proven you can fine tune a manufacturing/ production environment into one that is highly efficient, proactive, and customer driven.
 
You must have:
Production / manufacturing industry experience
Experience managing, coordinating and delegating to staff
Strong MS Excel skills
Administrative and systems focus to your experience
A proactive and dynamic approach
Experience understanding the bigger picture
Your NZ Drivers Licence (including HT Licence)
