The Applications Services Division is responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring business applications for the Ministry. This is a challenging and complex environment with a huge variety of applications solutions to work on, not just within the Ministry but in the wider education sector (schools, early childhood and tertiary). You will be a member of a wider team of managers and will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to setting applications strategy for the Ministry and the wider sector.

 

You will lead the Applications Development team in primarily .net and Java development for in-house developed applications. You will work closely with the Architecture Services to develop an applications portfolio roadmap, and have ownership of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for internally and externally-developed software. The scope of this role sees you working across the sector with internal clients and external vendors.

 

As the Manager Applications Development, you will have previous experience managing a team coupled with comprehensive knowledge of software development.
