PRIMHD is a project designed to support the implementation and monitoring of the Mental Health Strategy. The focus of the project is on the collection of nationally consistent data on mental health services. It has significant sector change management components as well as managing changes to ministry-held mental health information collection.

 

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Information Analyst on a 12 months Fixed Term Agreement within the Analytical Services team of NZHIS. Whilst working as part of this team of skilled analysts you’ll provide our main contribution to the development of a new national collection, initially as a member of the project team; thereafter as part of the business.

 

You’ll work with a wide variety of customers to provide relevant, timely data from, and advice about, our national health collections to best meet their diverse needs.

 

You’ve a wealth of experience in, and a real passion for the challenges of extracting, manipulating and analysing data and information, and are well known for your outstanding analytical and problem solving skills. You’ve expertise in Excel and may have experience with other analytical software packages. Your oral and written communication skills are superb and you’ve well developed relationship management skills. Your strong organisational skills make you adept at juggling competing demands on your time. You possess an appetite for new ideas and enjoy working collaboratively in a vibrant, committed team.
