The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners is a professional membership organisation working to strengthen the professionalism and practice of its members.
 
The College provides education, assessment, quality and support services for general practitioners and rural hospital medicine; and represents its members by providing advice and expertise to government and within the wider health sector.
 
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Assessment Manager who is genuinely interested in the growth of medical practitioners in New Zealand.
In the role of Manager, Assessment you will report to the Group Manager, Education and be accountable for a team of 4-5 staff.
 
This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the College’s assessment systems and procedures for general practitioners and rural hospital doctors.  You will bring with you proven experience in assessment systems and methodologies, be confident providing robust and accurate advice to Board level, and have a working knowledge of statistics.
 
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the College’s Strategic Focus of a high performing, sustainable workforce for general practice through increasing the number of practising Fellows and the number of doctors gaining FRNZCGP and FDRHM.
 
A tertiary qualification in assessment is preferred.
 
We are seeking a manager who is an innovative thinker; has experience in setting objectives in line with strategic statements; is able to work alongside their team to achieve these goals; and have the desire to see our organisation performing efficiently, within budget and according to our legal responsibilities.
