Lumley General Insurance is seeking an experienced actuary/analyst to take up an exciting position which will help shape the future success of the business.

 

Lumley, the third general insurance company in New Zealand, is part of the Wesfarmers group of companies. In addition to insurance underwriting and Broking businesses, Wesfarmers has operations spanning home improvement products and building supplies, supermarkets, coal mining, gas processing and distribution, industrial and safety product distribution and other activities.

 

An opportunity has become available to establish and lead a team dedicated to ensuring Lumley has the necessary information to price and select risk and to make commercially astute business decisions. Working across both commercial and domestic lines of business, you will be instrumental in enhancing analytical capability across the business.

• Possess highly developed analytical skills gained from formal education and extensive work experience (preferably Insurance related)

• Be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and have the ability to clearly communicate complex ideas
