Looking for a challenge and/or a change as a Business Analyst in a software development environment?   In this role you will use your business knowledge and expertise to define future requirements and support this successful product focused on asset finance, fleet management and consumer credit systems.
 
Based in Christchurch and founded 7 years ago, our client is a stable, expanding software company comprised of key personnel with a track record of successfully launching software products onto the international market.  They are focused on providing software solutions to the worldwide financial services industry.  Their core product is now poised for significant success with recent orders the start of things to come.  Their highly talented and experienced team is strong, customer focused, and is passionate about delivering the best solutions for their clients.  
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Understanding clients’ business, data sources and technical environment.
  • Translate clients’ current business process into software design instructions.
  • Effectively list to, and discuss customer needs to create detailed business requirements from which the technical staff will develop a solution.
  • Display the capacity to listen to and resolve customer inquiries.
  • Provide post-sale support to clients.
  • Arrange and deliver client training.
 
To succeed in this role you will have a number of the following attributes:
  • Commercial experience in one or more of the following business areas: treasury, asset finance, fleet financial management or consumer credit systems.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of requirements gathering approaches and methodologies.
  • The capacity to understand, document and translate a Client’s business requirements
  • A dynamic personality and the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment which is essential to the position.          
  • Strong experience documenting detailed, high quality functional requirements for complex business functions.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, including user acceptance testing and implementation.
  • Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, technology or related fields.
  • PC proficient including knowledge of process workflow tools and techniques.
