The Museum of New Zealand; Te Papa Tongarewa (Te Papa) is a forum for the nation to present, explore and preserve the heritage of its cultures and knowledge of the natural environment in order to better understand and treasure the past, enrich the present.

Based in Wellington and reporting to the Chief Executive, this role isinstrumental in providing the platform for Te Papa to deliver on its promiseto the nation.

The question is… are you ready to take responsibility for the full ambit ofsupport functions? Including Information Technology, Building Operations(Services and Security), Risk Assurance, Human Resources and WorkforceDevelopment, you will need to be equally adept in each of these diversedisciplines, strategically and operationally. Your skills in uniting theever important corporate services team with the diverse demands of theteams responsible for delivering the Te Papa ‘experience’ will requiremanagement experience and communication skills to the highest level.

A background in general/operations management including directexposure to some of the functions outlined is necessary. This combinedwith demonstrated experience in actioning performance improvement withdiverse stakeholders will be critical assessment factors.
