The National Maori SIDS Prevention Programme (MSIDS) is involved in the wider issues that impact upon the health and well being of mokopuna Maori and whanau. Our primary focus is to reduce SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and address SUDI (Sudden and Unexpected Death in Infancy) in Maori communities with a mission to provide Maori child health leadership using effective communication. This programme is funded by the Ministry of Health and managed by Auckland UniServices Limited, a research, consulting and contracting company wholly owned by The University of Auckland.
We are now seeking an efficient Office Administrator to provide secretarial and administrative support to the MSIDS team. In this varied role, you will manage the day to day requirements, handle purchasing and invoicing, maintain records and databases and offer first-rate customer services to both internal and external customers.
Self-motivated, committed and flexible, you will enjoy working in a team and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Importantly, you will have an ability to plan ahead, meet deadlines, pay attention to detail and possess strong MS Office skills. Knowledge of Tikanga Maori and proficiency in Te Reo will be an advantage. Your knowledge of basic accounting/book-keeping principles will be beneficial to this role.
